Emily Edwards, Assistant District Attorney
Emily grew up in Austin, Texas,
and graduated from Stephen
F. Austin
High School. She
completed her undergraduate work at Rice
University, where she
graduated with honors. Emily received her law degree summa cum laude from
South Texas College of Law, where she served as a Note and Comment Editor on
the Law Review and competed in national moot court competitions.
Following her graduation from law school, Emily had the honor and
privilege of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King on the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Emily joined the
Polk County District Attorney’s Office in December 2010, and she currently
handles misdemeanor and juvenile cases.
