D.C. WELLS, CRIMINAL INVESTIGATOR
D.C. began
his Law Enforcement career with the Houston Police Department in May of 1968
working numerous assignments including Criminal Intelligence Organized Crime
Section for 9 years as an undercover operative, Helicopter Patrol Pilot for 9
years with the remainder in Radio Patrol. D.C. honorably retired in 1989 and
began a career with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as a Criminal
Investigator. D.C. moved to the Polk County
Criminal District Attorney’s Office as a Felony Criminal Investigator where he
honorably retired in 2006.
While working at the Harris County District Attorney's Office D.C. was assigned to the Child Abuse Division where he worked exclusively on cases involving physical and sexual abuse of children.
D.C. worked for the Angelina County
Sheriff’s Office as a Criminal Investigator from 2007 to 2009. In 2009 D.C.
worked with the Department of Homeland Security until returning to the Polk
County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in January of 2010 as a Criminal
Investigator.
D.C. has taught numerous classes at Fort Bend County high schools
as well as Sam Houston State University for Dr. Teske in the Criminal Justice
field of investigations involving the physical and sexual abuse of children.
With
nearly 43 years of Law Enforcement and Court Room Preparation experience in and
for the Great State of Texas D.C. will assist in any manner with the citizens of
Polk County.
D.C. is
married with two children and 3 grandchildren.
