BEVERLY D. ARMSTRONG, ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY

Beverly is a graduate of Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas.  She graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.  After graduating from Prairie View, she worked as a structural design engineer for the Dow Chemical Company before entering law school.

Beverly attended South Texas College of Law where she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence.  She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1997.  She started her legal career as an environmental attorney handling toxic tort cases.  After leaving the environmental law area, Beverly was an associate at The Hatchett Law Firm where she practiced in the areas of Probate, Guardianship and Wills.

In 2002, Beverly went into private practice where she handled cases involving Probate, Guardianships, Wills, Bankruptcy and other matters.

Beverly joined the Polk County District Attorney's Office in 2006 and is currently serving as an assistant Criminal District Attorney in the Felony Division.
