Archie Chapman, Criminal Investigator

 

Archie was born in Conroe, Texas, on September 16, 1949. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1968.


Archie has been married since June 14, 1969. He and his wife have two children and three grandchildren.


Archie was drafted into the United States Army on July 10, 1969, and served two years active duty during Vietnam. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant. After completing his military duty he worked for Brown and Root from 1971-1985. On March 4, 1985, he started his career with the Houston Police Department, where he spent nine years in patrol, and then went to work in Juvenile Division for one year. He worked in the Burglary and Theft Division for 16 years as an investigator and worked proactive reverse stings. On April 17, 2009, he retired from the Houston Police Department after a rewarding 26 years.


On May 10, 2010, Archie joined the team at the Polk County Criminal District Attorney’s Office as a Felony Criminal Investigator.
